As a part of the collaboration between USC Annenberg and KCET-TV, graduate student Aja Dang wrote "Los Angeles is One Step Closer to Banning Single-Use Bags." Dang's article discusses the implementation of a paper and plastic bag ban in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Board of Public Works voted 4-0 in favor of the ban, wrote Dang. "When you look at the costs that are being incurred by the City in order to evade this type of litter and the environmental impacts that this litter is causing to our communities and bodies of water...there really is no choice left for the City," wrote Dang.
