Megan Jordan (’92) is the vice president of executive communications and strategic initiatives for USC. In this newly created position, Jordan works closely with the Office of the President and CCO to coordinate key executive-level communications and put a sharper strategic focus on communications supporting the President’s moonshots. She also works closely with the CCO and the Communications Cabinet to create a more unified strategic communications planning model.
Jordan joined USC from Claremont McKenna College where she served as vice president and chief communications and marketing officer. There, she worked directly with university leadership, faculty, and senior administrators to raise the university’s national reputation. Prior to Claremont McKenna, Jordan had a distinguished, award-winning career in corporate communications leadership roles with organizations such as Southern California Edison, Herbalife, and Kaiser Permanente, among others. She also advised executive leadership at major brands including Nestle, General Motors, Hilton, Kia and Philips while with leading global public relations agencies MSL, Cohn and Wolfe, and Zeno Group.
Jordan earned her BA in Public Relations at the USC Annenberg School of Communications and Journalism where is an adjunct professor. She is a member of Annenberg’s PR Board of Advisors, acts as a Trojan Network Mentor, and has spoken at the Kos Symposium and Annenberg Lead On Women’s Conference.
