2023-2024 Cohort

Glenn King is a PhD student at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Broadly, his research interests lie at the intersection of postcolonial ecology, and Black media studies. He is especially interested in questions concerning the anthropocene, reparative humanism—re-imagining humanism to acknowledge histories of slavery, legacies of colonialism, and structural and systemic racism.

Prior to joining USC Annenberg, he graduated from the University of The Bahamas with a Bachelor of Education in English language and literature, where he was identified most outstanding in the concentration. He also holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Creative Media from the University of Alabama. He is passionate about twentieth century world literature and enjoys both creative and polemical writing.
