A Center on Communication Leadership & Policy (CCLP) report on how the Internet can be used against human trafficking was featured in an Inquisitr article.
The report, Human Trafficking Online: The Role of Social Networking Sites and Online Classifieds, shows how the traces traffickers leave behind online can help prevent the modern form of slavery.
"Data mining, mapping and advanced analytics can be developed to support law enforcement and other organizations in fighting human trafficking," said CCLP research director Mark Latonero. "The report also describes how mobile phone applications, crowdsourcing and other new technologies might be used to help victims."
