Communication and journalism professor Josh Kun has been busy with various presentations in recent weeks, including:
At the LA Times Festival of Books, Kun was part of the "Politics of Popular Music Panel" on April 22.
At the "Woody Guthrie's Los Angeles" conference at USC, he delivered the paper "California Border Blues: Guthrie, L.A., and Tijuana."
Kun delivered the paper "Maquiladora de Sueños: Music in Factory City" at the 2012 Pop Conference of the Experience Music Project, held this year at NYU.
On a visit to the Portland Center for Public Humanities at Portland State University, Kun gave a lecture and workshop.
Kun also participated in a panel on music at the "Latino Los Angeles" conference of the Historical Society of Southern California on April 21.
