The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors honored Norman Corwin, USC Annenberg journalism professor and pioneering radio dramatist, at its May 10 meeting. Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky presented Corwin with a resolution commending two milestones: Corwin's 95th birthday, and the 60th anniversary of Corwin's stirring radio drama, "On a Note of Triumph," broadcast to mark the allied victory over Nazi Germany. Earlier in the month, USC Annenberg celebrated Corwin's birthday and career at a standing-room-only event at the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills, Calif. On May 4, he was the featured guest on KPCC's Airtalk with Larry Mantle, discussing the anniversary celebrations.
