In partnership with the World Bank and Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania, USC Annenberg will host a 10-day communication course for global leaders next June. The Summer Institute in Reform Communication: Leadership Strategy and Stakeholder Alignment aims to provide leaders, diplomats and strategists with the necessary skills to bring political and economic reform to developing nations. "We're working very closely with senior people at the World Bank to help them understand how communication can help development," said Dean Wilson.
"How can people who are economists, or who are experts in agriculture or health ... tell their stories better?" Public, private and nonprofit-sector professionals from Panama, Iraq, Nigeria and beyond attended the 2013 Summer Institute. The 2014 Summer Institute will be held at USC Annenberg from June 2 to June 13.
