Journalism professor and director of the Center on Public Diplomacy Philip Seib participated in a conference on “Media and Policy in the Muslim World.” Seib was among ambassadors to the United States, the former foreign minister of Lebanon, the executive director of Al Arabiya Television, and representatives of several media organizations and NGOs. The conference, held in New York City, addressed journalism professionalism in transitional political cultures, news media influence on government policymaking, and the relationship between journalism and public diplomacy.
