The National Association of Black Journalists has honored USC Annenberg senior scholar Adam Clayton Powell III with its 2004 Salute to Excellence Award for Commentary. Powell is a regular commentator on the WHUT program "Evening Exchange." WHUT (Howard University Television) is the first African American owned and operated noncommercial television station in the United States. Public relations professor Craig Carroll presented his research into media influences on corporate reputation at the fifth international Agenda Setting conference on September 24 in Bonn, Germany.
