It was a somewhat surprising turn of events. Earlier in his presidency, Wilson coined the phrase “America First,” and his supporters proudly waved banners at the 1916 Democratic National Convention extolling, “He Kept Us Out of War.” Now Wilson was explaining that “Neutrality is no longer feasible or desirable where the peace of the world is involved.”
Tom Hollihan, Communication professor, currently chairs the Executive Committee of the USC U.S.-China Institute, in addition to being a member of several forensics organizations. As a consultant to many political campaigns, Hollihan is a leading expert on election cycles and the relationship between government and the media. He is currently writing a followup book to his book, "The Dispute over the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands: How Media Narratives Shape Public Opinions and Challenge the Global Order," which focuses on China's territory claims in the South China Sea.

The event was titled "A Conversation with Dick Ebersol" and took place on March 21, 2017. Ebersol is the former chairman of NBC Sports & Olympics. He brought you Sunday Night Football. Moreover, Ebersol, along with Lorne Michaels (whom he hired), conceived and created "Saturday Night Live."
