Professor Diane Winston, holder of the Knight Chair in Media and Religion, was recently quoted in a Sept. 27 Washington Post article titled “TV’s favorite serial killer finds religion.”
The article discusses the show “Dexter” and how the titled character, a non-believing serial killer, is seemingly trying to find religion this season.
“It’s very provocative to put Dexter, whose goodness is always under debate, in these typically religious scenes. It’s like daring the audience to imagine him as a fallen angel, or possibly a real angel,” Winston said.
