Fernando Hurtado is the manager of digital video for NBCUniversal Local, which includes the NBC Owned TV Stations and the Telemundo Station Group. He is responsible for producing bilingual short- to mid-form multiplatform content for all of the NBCU Local properties.

Hurtado serves as supervising producer on My New Favorite Futbolista and My New Favorite Olympian, a multiplatform series that was named the Best Spoken Word Series at the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards. He's also provided onsite coverage from the Tokyo and Beijing Olympics. In 2023, Hurtado was named to L.A. TV Week's 40 Under 40.

Prior to NBC, Hurtado was a producer/editor at ATTN: a social media video news publisher. Before that, Hurtado was a multimedia journalist at Sinclair Broadcast Group’s Circa, a now-defunct digital video news outlet. Hurtado holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism from USC Annenberg and lives in Los Angeles.
