USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism (ASC), 207
We invite you to join us for a presentation highlighting the research of USC Annenberg PhD students Magdalayna Drivas and Samah Sadig.
This study examines how audiences engage with the popular dating reality TV show, Love Is Blind US, and how watching the show influences their perceptions of love, marriage, and relationships. Through surveys and interviews, we explore how viewers interpret the show’s cultural scripts around romance, including themes of emotional connection, communication, and the pursuit of marriage. The study also considers how co-viewing versus solo watching shapes audience reception, highlighting how shared viewing experiences often foster deeper discussions about love and intimacy.
